Why make an advising appointment?
Discuss your graduate school plans with an advisor. Whether you have just started exploring your options, are currently applying to programs, or choosing between admission offers, we welcome your questions. Are you concerned about how the COVID-19 crisis will impact the upcoming grad school application cycle? Make an appointment to discuss these things and more!
What topics can I cover in an appointment?
We’re here to support you. You’re welcome to bring questions about:
- Program selection and fit/compatibility
- Application strategies and timelines
- Personal statements and other materials
- Funding and financial aid
- Navigating decisions and next steps
Where can I get essay support for grad or law school applications?
Both students and alumni can book an appointment with one of our Pre-Graduate or Pre-Law Advisors to ask questions or receive feedback on application essays—including personal statements, statements of purpose, and personal history statements.
Current students may also access additional support through our Writing Team, either by meeting with a Writing Specialist or Tutor, or using their asynchronous feedback services.
Who can make an appointment?
Current UC Davis students and UC Davis alumni are welcome to schedule an advising appointment indefinitely.
