I am a first generation-transfer college graduate who has taught college composition at a variety of levels since 2008. Before joining the AATC in 2014, I taught composition at Folsom Lake College, Sacramento City College and CSU Sacramento. As a writing specialist, I support students in one-on-one sessions and at the Writing Studio, teach our Reading/Writing Workshop and STEP classes, design and present workshops for classes across the curriculum, and support tutor hiring and training. I also work closely with UC Davis initiative centers and have taught my workshop class and offered drop-in hours at The Center for Chicanx/Latinx Academic Students Success since the center opened; I also serve on the board for the Chicanx/Latinx Retention Advisory Committee. Additionally, I am a co-author of the Aggie Grammar Guide.
