The following paragraph mainly contains phrasal verbs. In the first text box, make a list of the phrasal verbs and write a list of possible single-word synonyms next to them. In the second text box, rewrite any sentence that changes structure when you revise to include a single-word verb.

Please note, because word choice deals with style more than grammar rules, there may be multiple single-word and sentence revision options although you will see only one set of options after you submit your responses. Compare your responses to the ones provided and determine if one is more effective. One way to do that is to determine which revisions still maintain the original sentences’ meanings.

You must respond to each question before the AGG responses will be displayed. After you submit your responses, you will see the AGG responses, but you won’t be able to see your responses until the end. After the quiz, you will be able to review the summary of responses including your own responses and the AGG responses. This quiz has 2 questions.
